I think of myself as an aspiring malaria vaccine researcher. However, I am presently training in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Ideally, I would also like to do an Infectious Disease fellowship after residency and get started on vaccine development as a career path. My interests are finding correlates of clinical protection that can be used in human vaccine trials. I’m using this blog as a way to remain up-to-date on the developments of malaria research and funding and, at the same time, share my thoughts with others. I likely will not be doing any active research this year but still enjoy the thought of having ideas for projects and experiments bounce around my head. Eventually, I will return to the lab.Other things: A graduate of the Malaria Lab at the Emory Vaccine Center headed by Mary Galinski and Alberto Moreno. Very close to my parents and sister. None of my friends or family really know I write this blog. Hopefully, in time, they may hear about it.If you share an interest in malaria research, I hope you will contribute your thoughts. Also, let me know about any interesting articles you may come across. I’m always interested.

Cheers!
